Dr. Charles H. Goodman, DDS, MS, is a board-certified periodontist who has practiced for decades. Originally from a Maryland suburb of Washington, DC, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Maryland before completing his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, where he graduated magna cum laude, second in his class. He went on to earn his specialty degree in periodontics from the University of Iowa, along with a Master of Science in Periodontology from the prestigious Dows Institute of Dental Research. He is one of the distinguished specialists on the team at North Creek Dental Care, proudly recognized as Southland's Best Dental Office in 2024 and 2025.

Following his specialty training, Dr. Goodman joined the faculty at Northwestern University School of Dentistry as an Assistant Professor of Periodontics, teaching in both the undergraduate and graduate clinics while publishing original research on the microbiology and immunology of periodontitis. He ultimately became the Director of Graduate Periodontics at Northwestern, overseeing the hospital-based training of eight specialty residents annually. He has been in full-time private practice since 1992.

Dr. Goodman is a member of the American Dental Society, the Illinois Dental Society, the Chicago Dental Society, the Indiana Dental Society, the Midwest Society of Periodontology, and the American Academy of Periodontology. He also led one of the largest dental study clubs in the Illiana area for over 25 years, with more than 75 annual members. Outside of his practice, Dr. Goodman has been married for over 30 years to his wife Connie. They have two adult sons, Michael and Brian, both Purdue University graduates. Michael works as a technical and risk management analyst in Chicago, and Brian holds a master's degree in history from Purdue and teaches high school in Hobart, Indiana.
